Publically shamed Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson will host the third episode of the upcoming Have I Got News For You series. His episode will air in early May.
Clarkson was suspended from the hit motoring show following reports that he hit a producer over a lack of hot food at the canteen after a day’s filming. The remaining three episodes of the current series of Top Gear look unlikely to be aired.
Jimmy Mulville, from producers Hat Trick, confirmed the booking at a Broadcasting Press Guild breakfast. The Guardian quotes him as saying, “We always have a field day with Jeremy…Maybe we will get the producer on so he can hit Jeremy Clarkson live on television.”
Clarkson has previously appeared on the satirical panel show twelve times, with eleven appearances as guest-host.
