Please be aware this post contains spoilers for Tuesday’s episode of EastEnders.
Eastenders seem to have revealed the identity of Lucy’s killer an episode earlier than intended, with yesterday’s episode including a live cliffhanger where Max (Jake Wood) outed his daughter Abi (Lorna Fitzgerald) as the murderer.
The shocking revelation came as Max tried unsuccessfully to prevent elder daughter Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) from leaving their family home. When Abi asked why Lauren was leaving, Jake told her that Lauren had learnt the truth that “you killed Lucy.”
However, the scene was not without controversy as it appeared to many that Jake Wood had fluffed his line live on television, leaving fans confused about whether Max has said “who killed Lucy” or “you killed Lucy.”
The BBC later confirmed the line that incriminated Abi:

Eastenders fans can look forward to a full week of exciting programming with live segments to celebrate thirty years onscreen.
EastEnders continues tonight (Wednesday) at 8pm. Thursday’s offerings are an hour-long episode tomorrow at 7.30pm plus a flashback episode at 9.25pm. Finally, Friday will see an entirely live episode from 8pm.
What do you think? Is Abi the killer or is this a red herring?
