Now that I’m A Celebrity 2014 is over and Foggy’s been crowned the King of the Jungle, we look back upon some of the highlights of this year’s series:
Gemma Collins vs. The World
Two days in the Australian jungle proved two days too many for TOWIE’s Gemma Collins, who spent her time in the Celebrity Slammer complaining, promising to go on hunger strike and then begging for a ham sandwich. She was later offered a ham sandwich by an enthusiastic fan at the airport on the way home, which she refused.
Joggy
This year’s great romance was between camp-mates Carl Fogarty and Jimmy Bullard. This involved bed-sharing and taking sneaky pinches in the showers. The two were basically never apart, except for when they were fawning over each other in the diary room.
Michael Buerk: Rapper Extraordinaire
One of the most endearing friendships that emerged over the course of the series was the one that emerged between newsreader Michael Buerk and rapper Tinchy Strider, who promised to take Michael to rap school. The result is something that will surely leave Jay Z quaking in his boots.
CIA
Late arrivals Edwina Currie and Jake Quickenden became part of the secret Celebrity Intelligence Agency, where the two (and later Jimmy and Kendra) took part in undercover missions in the camp, whilst staying out of the public vote and enjoying spa days.
Edwina vs. Kendra
US reality star Kendra Wikinson took on former politician Edwina Currie with an expletive-filled rant after Edwina decided to critique Kendra’s life mantra. Whilst the truth probably lay on both sides of the argument, it became very clear that Edwina was a bit of a stirrer.
Bantergate
Bantergate was the beginning of the end for early fan favourite Jimmy. The “banter” bestowed upon Jake by Jimmy sounded an awful lot more like a vicious verbal attack, which the other camp-mates – and soon after, the public – called him out on.
