I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out of Here is back for a fourteenth series this Sunday and it looks set to be another gruelling two weeks in the Australian jungle for ten unsuspecting celebrities. Now, fans could be forgiven for maybe occasionally not knowing exactly who some of the stars in past series of I’m A Celeb are, so here’s a handy rundown of this year’s contestants and what qualifies them to sit in an jungle eating kangaroo balls or crawl blind-folded through venomous creepie crawlies.
Tinchy Stryder
Famous for: Rapper, with four studio albums and two UK #1 singles: Number 1 and Never Leave You.
Melanie Sykes
Famous for: TV Presenter, best known for co-presenting Today with Des and Mel with Des O’Connor and Let’s Do Lunch with Gino D’Acampo. She’s also had guest stints on the Loose Women panel and has filled in for Paul O’Grady on the Paul O’Grady Show.
Craig Charles
Famous for: Actor, best known for his roles in Red Dwarf and Coronation Street. He also presented Robot Wars and lent his voice to narrate gameshow Takeshi’s Castle.
Vicki Michelle
Famous for: Actress, best known for her role in ‘Allo ‘Allo. She also appeared in films The Likely Lads and George and Mildred. More recently, she has starred in Emmerdale. In 2010, she was appointed MBE for her services to charity.
Michael Buerk
Famous for: BBC Newsreader, best known for being the BBC’s South Africa correspondent during 1983-7, when he reported on the harsh realities of apartheid. He also reported the Ethiopian famine in 1984.
Gemma Collins
Famous for: Star of reality series The Only Way is Essex. She has also appeared on Loose Women and Celebrity juice, and took part in Tom Daley’s Splash.
Jimmy Bullard
Famous for: Footballer, played in midfield for Wigan, Fulham, Hull City, Ipswich Town and MK Dons. He helped secure promotion to the Premier League whilst with Wigan in 2005 and in November 2009 he received the Premier League Player of the Month award.
Nadia Forde
Famous for: Model and singer, who has appeared in FHM magazine and released a single titled ‘BPM.’ She is also rumoured to have dated golfer Rory McIlroy, and the two reportedly remain friends.
Carl Fogarty
Famous for: Motorbike racer, who has won four World Superbike Championships in 1994, 1995, 1998 and 1998. He received an MBE in 1998.
Kendra Wilkinson
Famous for: American reality TV star, best known for her roles in The Girl Next Door, Kendra and Kendra on Top. She formerly lived in the Playboy mansion. She is married to former American Footballer Hank Baskett.
