
Popular crime series Midsomer Murders will return for six new feature-length episodes on ITV.
This will be the show’s eighteenth series. The show originally began airing in 1997 and the most recent series finished airing last February. It has been a consistent performer for ITV throughout this period.
The series stars Neil Dudgeon as DCI John Barnaby and Gwilym Lee as DS Charlie Nelson. They will be joined in the upcoming series by Manjinder Virk (Ordinary Lies), who will play a pathologist that assists Barnaby and Nelson in the new murder mysteries.
The new series is filming now to air in 2016.
