It has been announced that Bear Grylls, Britain’s most famous survivalist, will be taking celebrities out into the unknown and leaving them there in a new celebrity survivalist show Mission Survive for ITV.
Mission Survive sees Bear take eight celebrities into the depths of the rainforest, where they will spend twelve days facing their worst nightmares in daily challenges set by Bear. Bear will teach the celebrities some of the skills he’s known for, but then it’s up to them to survive the daily tasks without him.
However, it’s not just physical strength Bear is looking for in the celebrities. Strength of character and adaptability are crucial to surviving elimination and winning the series.
There’s no word yet on who will be on Bear’s celebrity team, but there’s certainly a few out there we’d like to see fending for themselves in a rainforest!
Speaking about the new series, Bear said, “This show is all about empowerment and I am so proud of how the celebrity team who joined me on Mission Survive performed. It was without doubt a tough expedition, but also a very life-enhancing adventure for everyone involved. I was looking for the qualities that a survivor in a real-life scenario most needs: positivity, resourcefulness, courage, determination, and a whole heap of bloody mindedness!”
